Ripplecast syncs QuickBooks Desktop into a database you own and connects it to Claude. Every figure is checked against QuickBooks' own reports, so when Claude gives you a number, you know it's right.
How it works
QuickBooks Desktop has no cloud API, so Claude can't reach it on its own. Ripplecast bridges the gap.
Sync
Intuit's QuickBooks Web Connector sends your lists, transactions and general ledger to a database in your own Supabase account, on a schedule you set. Works with hosted QuickBooks and on-premises installs.
Check
Ripplecast compares the synced data with QuickBooks' own reports, month by month. Closed months must tie to the cent, and changes to closed months are picked up and re-checked automatically.
Ask
Connect Ripplecast to Claude as a custom connector. Ask questions in Claude, Claude in Excel or Claude Code, and every answer names the QuickBooks report it ties to.
Answers you can check
Ripplecast tells Claude where every figure comes from, which months are closed and whether the numbers tie. Claude passes that on to you.

What you'll need
QuickBooks Desktop
Pro, Premier or Enterprise (US editions) on Windows, hosted or on-premises, in a version Intuit still supports, plus the free QuickBooks Web Connector. QuickBooks for Mac and QuickBooks Online aren't supported.
Supabase
Your own Supabase account holds the database. You can start on the free plan; we recommend a paid plan for real use.
Claude
A Claude plan that supports custom connectors. Setup is easiest in Claude Code or Cowork, and the plugin guides you step by step.
Vercel
Hosts the small sign-in page that connects Claude to your data and, on Pro, your finance dashboard.
Questions
Do you see my financial data?
No. Ripplecast runs in your own Supabase, Vercel and Claude accounts. We never receive, store or have access to your data unless you invite us in for a setup session, and then only while it lasts.
Can Ripplecast change anything in QuickBooks?
No. It only reads from QuickBooks. Claude's access through the connector is read-only too.
Does it work with hosted QuickBooks?
Yes, as long as your hosting provider allows the QuickBooks Web Connector, which most do. On-premises installs work the same way.
Do I need to be technical?
You need to be comfortable creating accounts and following clear steps. The setup plugin walks you through every stage in Claude Code or Cowork. If you'd rather not, buy a setup service and we'll do it with you.
Is this accounting or financial advice?
No. Ripplecast is a tool for moving and checking your own data. Claude's answers can be wrong; the tie-outs show you where figures match QuickBooks, so check anything important.
What happens after 12 months?
Your license is permanent. Renewing for 25% of what you paid keeps updates and support coming; if you don't renew, the version you have keeps working.
What if I can't get it working?
Email support@ripplecast.co. If the sync can't be made to work on a supported setup within 30 days of purchase, we'll refund the license.
I'm an accountant with several clients. Can I use one license?
Each license covers one QuickBooks company file. Email us if you want to set up several clients.
